Are you a scientist in the making?

Picture
What does it take to become a scientist?  Well, the truth is that there is a scientist in each one of us.  If you are curious about the world we live in; if you have questions about how things work and why; if you wonder about how we learn and think; if you have thoughts about how to solve world hunger or how to find the cure for a disease, then you are thinking like a scientist.  There is so much to learn and so much that we learn each day.  New information changes or replaces old information because there is a scientist for just about anything you can think of,  from the smallest cell in the human body to the tiny atoms that make up the composition of our expanding Universe.  These scientific facts and findings are published.  So consider a career in science, the world is your field work and the possibilities endless.  You'll never know how much you can contribute to humanity unless you try.  Here are some of my favorite websites:

  • NASA
  • LAUSD Science Links
  • Jet Propulsion Laboratory
  • National Geographic
  • Help with academic subjects
  • Careers in Science (and other fields)
  • California Science Center
  • Chemistry
  • The Periodic Table
  • Physics
  • Astronomy
  • Astronomy Picture of the Day
  • Astronomical Society of the Pacific
